About what you'd expect. To save time, highly recommend staying in the park. If you have to stay outside, this is a decent option with relatively clean rooms and a reasonable price point.
Receptionist was very nice when we arrived.On first glance into room it was nice. Once settled into the room we saw that the rug was filthy, two bath towels, one washcloth and hand towel, plastic fork and napkin remain at bed stand,. . Two of us were guests plus a hug spider ( not a small one trust me) that crawled on bed that night. Please use our guest payment for spraying rooms. We apparently didn't get the remodel part of the motel. Would never stay there again. Thought of asking for refund as it was hard to sleep after the uninvited "guest".
Great location for proximity to Death Valley. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. I wouldn't have been surprised to know there were cockroaches in any of the hotels in Beatty but we saw 2 live ones without even looking, and I would expect it to be a bit more under control than that. Rooms weren't that clean. Because of the cockroaches made sure to keep our suitcases closed at all times, but after a day out we found them unzipped. We asked to switch rooms and were given the master key to view another room without being escorted by staff - a huge security issue. Don't leave valuables in rooms.
This town is so prejudice it's unreal! It's almost as if the town is hiding a secret of some sort. They do not like outsiders being there and they make sure you know it.
We enjoyed our stay, the room was very clean, quiet and a real nice place to stay. The young man at the front desk was very nice and good at multitasking. I like that the room had a nice size fridge and microwave. Pool and hot tub were clean as was the area outside of the rooms. I would stay here again.
